PreciseSync
PreciseSync is the leading end-to-end secure online backup
security solution for the enterprise. The PreciseSync solution is based
on other industry leading technologies used by millions worldwide. Once
fully configured PreciseSync will keep your data secure on one of our
backup servers. To backup your data securely PreciseSync uses a client
server environment. The client software communicates with the PreciseSync
server over a fully encrypted connection.
How does it work?
PreciseSync uses a special algorithm to bring files into sync. PreciseSync compares files at a bit level and then sends just the differences across a network link. This means that files are updated quickly with minimal traffic. PreciseSync also uses it's own compression technique to ensure that traffic is kept to a minimum.
The PreciseSync client is installed on your local server or workstation. Once configured your critical data is compressed and transferred across a secure tunnel where it is encrypted and stored on one of our servers.
This is the initial transfer and will take some time depending on the amount of data and bandwidth available. To ensure that minimal bandwidth traffic is used we provide an option to encrypt and copy your data then transport to our office. Offsite Vault recommends this as the most cost effective method (depending on your internet plan).
On a scheduled basis the PreciseSync client will connect
to our servers and keep your data secure.
